Wind slab composed of recent storm snow is the main avalanche problem today where a single person may trigger avalanches.  Recent high winds have produced large cornices which should be avoided; a sudden large load resulting from a cornice breaking onto alpine slopes has the potential to trigger avalanches containing the entire season snowpack.
